The Yutong consumes 18–22 liters of diesel per 100 km, so for routes over 200 km we adjust the fuel component — usually an extra 5,000–7,000 ₸. Can I rent a bus without a driver?
Rent-Trip only rents vehicles with a driver — this is a requirement of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan for category D. Rental without a driver is only possible for minivans (category B), but for groups of 20 or more people this is not an option — you need a category D license, which only 3% of drivers in Almaty have.
What documents are needed to rent a bus?
To book with Rent-Trip, you need a passport or ID card, and for legal entities — company details and a power of attorney to sign the contract. A driver's license is not required — our employee will be behind the wheel. We accept electronic copies of documents via Kaspi.kz or WhatsApp — you don't need to physically visit the office; the contract is signed online in 10 minutes.

Tip: order a departure before 8 a.m. to catch the morning lift and avoid queues at the cable car during peak season (December–February).
Charyn Canyon and Kolsai: one-day excursion
The route to Charyn Canyon takes 12 hours, 80,000 ₸, including insurance. The road is 200 km east, about 3 hours one way. The Yutong reaches the observation deck 'Valley of Castles', but then it's a 2 km walk along the trail. For the Kolsai Lakes (another 100 km from Charyn), we recommend a minivan — the road to the third lake is gravel, the Yutong won't go there. The typical route is: Wedding Palace (Medeu or Bostandyk) → photo session in the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen Park → restaurant. For school groups, Rent-Trip provides a Yutong with 3 child seats (up to 36 kg) and a microphone for the guide. Price — 55,000 ₸ for 8 hours, any route within the city: zoo, First President's Park, Museum of Folk Instruments. According to the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, children under 12 are transported only in seats — we install them free of charge, but notify us a day in advance. We conduct a medical check before each trip — this is a requirement of the Department of Passenger Transport. All Rent-Trip Yutongs and minivans are equipped with air conditioners cooling to +18 °C. In the heat (+35 °C in July), this is enough to keep the cabin comfortable. In winter — an autonomous Webasto heater that warms the cabin 15 minutes before departure. We check the air conditioner before each trip — in 2024, not a single climate failure.
Child seats and boosters
We install up to 3 child seats (groups 1/2/3, from 9 to 36 kg) and 2 boosters (from 15 kg). The seats are ECE R44/04 standard, secured with standard seat belts. Booking must be made a day in advance — on the day of departure we may not have time to select the configuration for the children's ages.
Professional driver and guide services
An Rent-Trip driver has category D and at least 5 years of experience, and undergoes a medical check before each trip. If you need a guide — we add 10,000 ₸ for 4 hours, the guide will tell about the history, flora and fauna of the Zailiysky Alatau. On the Charyn–Kolsay route, a guide is mandatory for groups of 15 or more according to the national park's internal rules.
