Audi A4 (from 27,000 ₸/day) — entry-level business class for city trips, while Audi A6 (from 34,000 ₸/day) is a executive sedan for meetings and transfers. The A4 is more compact — easier to park downtown on streets like Panfilov or Abay. The A6 is 12 cm longer, the rear row is more spacious, soundproofing is better — you can't hear the highway even at 120 km/h. Both have climate control, heated seats, and cruise control. If you plan to transport partners or guests — take the A6: the rear row is more spacious, soundproofing is better, and climate control is dual-zone.

Audi Q7 and Q8 — premium SUVs for mountains and highways

Audi Q7 (from 63,000 ₸/day) and Audi Q8 (from 65,000 ₸/day) are all-wheel drive SUVs that confidently go to Medeu, Shymbulak, and Charyn Canyon. The Q7 is three-row, seats 7 people, ground clearance 20 cm — handles the rough road to Kolsai without issues. The Q8 is a coupe-SUV, 6 cm shorter, stiffer suspension, but better dynamics: 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds vs 6.5 for the Q7. The Q8 is shorter and stiffer — for driving on serpentines, the Q7 is taller and softer — for a family with children and luggage for a week.

Audi A8 and R8 — premium and exclusive

Audi A8 (from 66,000 ₸/day) — flagship sedan for status meetings, Audi R8 (from 95,000 ₸/day) — sports car for weddings, photo shoots, and special events. The A8 has air suspension, massaging seats, and MMI media system with two screens. The R8 — 5.2 V10, 540 hp, all-wheel drive — the only sports car in our fleet, booked 2-3 weeks in advance. Documents, deposit, and rental terms

To rent an Audi in Almaty, you need a minimum of documents. I'll tell you what we ask for, what the deposit is, and what restrictions apply.

What documents are needed to rent an Audi

To rent an Audi from Rent-Trip, you need a passport and a category B driver's license — originals, copies are not accepted. Citizens of Kazakhstan present an ID card with registration — we check the address for the contract. If the renter is a foreigner, we additionally ask for a foreign passport with an entry stamp and an International Driving Permit (IDP). Tourists from Russia — with a Russian internal passport and an old-style license if the stay is up to 30 days. If the renter is a foreigner, we additionally ask for a foreign passport with an entry stamp and an International Driving Permit (IDP).

Deposit, age, and driving experience

Deposit — from 150,000 ₸ for an Audi A4 to 500,000 ₸ for an Audi R8, fully refundable upon returning the car. Age — from 23 years, experience — from 3 years. For premium models (A8, R8) the deposit is higher — up to 500,000 ₸, because the cost of repairing body parts on these cars is 2-3 times more expensive than on the A4. The deposit is paid in cash or via transfer to Kaspi — we return it on the day of return after inspection. If experience is less than 3 years but age is over 25 — we consider individually with an increased deposit. For the R8, experience from 5 years.

Mileage limits and rental extension

Daily mileage limit — 200 km for all models except the R8 (150 km). Excess — 50 ₸/km. You can extend the rental 24 hours before the end — by calling the office or via Kaspi. If you're running late — let us know, otherwise the car may be booked by the next customer. On the Audi Q7 and Q8 the limit is stricter — 200 km, because they are often taken on long routes. If you're going to the Charyn Canyon (200+ km round trip) — let us know in advance, we'll agree on an increased limit without extra charges.

Insurance and safety: what CASCO covers

All our Audis are insured under CASCO. I explain what the insurance covers, how the deductible works, and what to do in case of an accident in Almaty.

What CASCO covers and the deductible amount

CASCO covers damage from accidents, theft, damage by third parties, and natural disasters. Deductible — 5% of the car's value, but not more than 200,000 ₸. We also insure under MTPL — this is mandatory coverage for all rented cars in Kazakhstan. The deductible is your share in the event of an insurance claim. If the damage is 100,000 ₸ — you pay it yourself; if it's 500,000 ₸ — you pay 200,000 ₸, the rest is covered by insurance.

What to do in case of an accident in a rented Audi

In case of an accident, call us immediately — 24/7. Do not leave the scene, call the police (102) and an insurance commissioner. We coordinate everything remotely. The city has Sergek cameras — they record violations and accidents. If you drive off without filing a report, the camera will show your fault, and insurance may not cover the damage. At the accident scene, do not sign documents in Russian if you are unsure of the wording — ask for a copy in Kazakh or call us.

Sergek cameras and fines in Almaty

Sergek cameras record speeding, running red lights, driving into oncoming traffic, and not wearing a seatbelt. Fines are sent by email — we forward them to the client. You can pay via Kaspi or Halyk. On the Audi A8 and R8, cameras see license plates from up to 50 meters away — do not exceed the 60 km/h limit in the city, otherwise a fine from 5 MCI (17,250 ₸ in 2026).

Where to go in Almaty with an Audi: routes and recommendations

Almaty is a city at the foot of the mountains, and the Audi is especially good on serpentines and highways. I'll tell you which routes our clients choose and which model is best suited.

Medeu and Shymbulak — mountain serpentine on Q7 or Q8

The road from Almaty to Medeu is 15 km, to Shymbulak — 18 km. An 800-meter ascent, a serpentine with sharp turns. On an Audi Q7 or Q8, the ascent takes 25-30 minutes — the Quattro all-wheel drive holds the line on wet asphalt. In winter — studded tires are mandatory, we install them on all SUVs from November. Parking at Shymbulak — 500 ₸/hour, payment via Kaspi. If you're going for a day of skiing — take the Q7: the 890-liter trunk will fit skis, snowboards, and thermoses.

Charyn Canyon — long-distance trip in an A6 or Q7

Charyn Canyon — 200 km from Almaty, 3.5 hours one way. Highway A-351 to Shonzhy, last 10 km — dirt road. In an Audi A6 — comfortable to the canyon, but the dirt road is better tackled in a Q7 with 20 cm ground clearance. Best to leave at 6 a.m. — arrive by 10:00 a.m., before the heat. On the way back, stop by Lake Kolsai — another 50 km detour. If you're going to Charyn Canyon (200+ km round trip) — let us know in advance, we'll agree on an increased mileage limit at no extra charge.

Trip to Kyrgyzstan — in an A4 or A6

Border with Kyrgyzstan — 25 km from Almaty, crossing point «Ak-Zhol» (Korday). In an Audi A4 or A6 — 30 minutes to the border. You need a passport and a Green Card insurance (we arrange it for 2,000 KZT for 15 days). In Kyrgyzstan — same rules, speed cameras are in Bishkek. Our clients often go to Issyk-Kul — 300 km from the border, 4 hours drive. If you plan to cross the border — let us know 2 days in advance, we'll check documents and arrange insurance.

Our Audis are 2019-2022 models with up to 80,000 km. Direct rental means you rent from the owner, not a middleman renting someone else's car. We deliver Audis to Almaty Airport — 5,000 KZT, within the city — free within 10 km from the center. At the airport, we meet you with a sign at the terminal exit — hand over keys and documents in 5 minutes. If your flight is delayed — we wait at no extra charge. Return — at the airport 2 hours before departure or at our office at Timiryazev Street, 42. Delivery to the airport — 5,000 KZT, within the city — free within 10 km from the center.

Kaspi and Halyk — payment without commission

We accept Kaspi, Halyk, cash. Transfer to Kaspi — no commission, money arrives instantly. Deposit — also via Kaspi, returned on the day of return. For foreigners — cash in tenge or dollars at the National Bank rate. We do not accept Visa/Mastercard — only Kaspi or Halyk. Transfer to Kaspi — no commission, money arrives instantly.

Discounts for long-term rentals

For rentals of 7 days or more — 10% discount on all models except R8. For 14 days or more — 15%. Example: Audi A4 for 14 days — 27,000 KZT × 14 × 0.85 = 321,300 KZT instead of 378,000 KZT. Savings — 56,700 KZT. For Audi Q7 for 7 days — 63,000 KZT × 7 × 0.9 = 396,900 KZT instead of 441,000 KZT. The discount applies to all models except R8 — for the sports car, minimum booking is 2 days, no discount.

Additional services

• Child seat: 2,000 KZT/day — seats for groups 1-2-3 (9-36 kg), installed on the rear seat.
• GPS navigator: 1,000 KZT/day — Garmin with maps of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, updated 2026.
• Additional driver: 5,000 KZT one-time — added to the contract, the additional driver must be present at signing with passport and license.
• Delivery outside the city: 15,000 KZT — delivery to Kapshagay, Talgar, Issyk.

What is not included in the price

The rental price does not include fuel — return with a full tank. AI-95 gasoline — 230 KZT/liter at Helios and Sinooil stations. Fines — you pay yourself. Car wash — if returned dirty, wash fee 3,000 KZT. Smoking in the cabin — fine 10,000 KZT, interior dry cleaning.
