Rental with buyout in Almaty: 60 cars from 13,990 KZT/day — how it works
Rent a car with buyout in Almaty: 60 cars from 13,990 KZT/day. No loan and no down payment — pay and take the car for yourself.
How rent-to-own works: the mechanics and the timeline
Here is the basic mechanism: the client rents the car by the day, and once the contract term ends the car becomes theirs. We cover the timeline, early buyout and the legal side.
The basic scheme: from rental to ownership
At Rent-Trip we work to a simple scheme: you rent the car by the day, and when the contract term ends the car becomes yours — with no loan and no down payment. Unlike a bank loan, this needs no proof of income and no clean credit history — the decision comes faster and you get the car straight away. The rental contract starts from 1 day, and every payment brings you closer to owning the car. The selection has 60 cars of different classes, and for each we calculate the final buyout sum before signing. In our experience this suits people who would rather not gather certificates and wait for a bank's approval — the whole process takes a single visit.
Buyout terms and early buyout
The rental term starts at 1 day, and the car can be bought out early — the terms are written into the contract and fixed before signing. Early buyout pays off if you plan to close the contract sooner: you save on rental payments and take ownership faster. In the contract we set out the payment schedule and the amount that would remain outstanding on any given day, so you always know the exact figure. If funds become available, you can pay them in and shorten the term. In our view that is the main advantage over classic leasing, where early repayment often runs into fees and recalculations.
Transfer of ownership: what matters
Once the final payment is made the car is transferred into your name — the last step, registered officially with the authorities. Until the buyout is complete the car remains registered to the lessor, so it is important to keep every payment document: they confirm the payment history at re-registration. We prepare the paperwork in advance so the procedure takes a single day. The registration certificate and insurance policy, meanwhile, are issued in your name from the first day of the rental — which lets you drive the car and pass the technical inspection without the owner being present.
Prices, deposit, and payment terms
Here are the prices by car class, the deposit terms and the payment methods. We show what makes up the cost and how the deposit is set.
Rental prices by car class
The minimum price for rental with buyout at Rent-Trip is from 13,990 KZT/day, and the cost depends on the car class: from economy to premium. For long-term rental, economy or comfort class is more profitable — the monthly payment is lower, and the functionality is enough for the city.
| Class | Models | Price from | Body type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Economy | Skoda Rapid | 18,990 KZT/day | Sedan |

| Business | Volkswagen Arteon, Lexus ES | 50,990–30,000 KZT/day | Sedan |
| Premium | Mercedes-Benz S-Class | 100,000 ₸/day | Sedan |
| SUVs | Geely Coolray, Volkswagen Tiguan | 17,000–35,990 KZT/day | Crossover |
| Minivans | Nissan Elgrand, Toyota Alphard | 30,000–54,990 KZT/day | Minivan |
| Unique | BMW M5, Nissan Z | 99 990–500 000 ₸/day | Sedan / Coupe |
Deposit: how much and when it's returned
The deposit at Rent-Trip depends on the car class: from 50,000 ₸ for economy and comfort up to 200,000 ₸ for premium and unique models. It is returned within 1–3 business days after the car is handed back without damage or fines — the standard period, which we set out in the contract. For business class and SUVs the deposit sits within that range and is confirmed when a particular model is booked. You can pay the deposit the same ways as the rental itself — through Kaspi, Halyk or in cash. The deposit is not forfeited and is not counted towards payments: it is a guarantee that the car will come back safe, not a prepayment.
Payment methods: Kaspi, Halyk and cash
We accept payment through Kaspi and Halyk — the most widely used payment systems in Almaty — and in cash. Paying through Kaspi is convenient for a long-term rental: you can set up an automatic payment and stop thinking about the monthly transfer. A Halyk transfer also goes through instantly and with no fee for the client. Every payment is recorded in the contract, and at buyout you receive a full statement of the amounts paid.
What the rate includes: insurance, mileage, support
Here is what the rental price includes: insurance, mileage, 24/7 support. And separately, who pays Sergek fines.
Insurance and servicing: what is already in the price
Insurance is already included in the Rent-Trip rate — you do not have to arrange it separately or pay extra at handover. Having insurance in the rate protects you from unexpected costs in an accident, but it is important to understand that damage caused by you can affect the return of the deposit. Servicing the car — oil changes, brake pads, scheduled maintenance — is also on us for the whole rental period. That removes the main fear of a long-term rental: sudden repair bills. The contract sets out which work we take on and which counts as the renter's running costs — seasonal tyre changes, for instance.
Mileage up to 200 km/day: limits and surcharges
The rate includes up to 200 km a day; beyond the limit there is a per-kilometre surcharge set out in the contract. For Almaty and its suburbs that allowance is more than enough: from Medeu to the airport is about 30 km one way. If you are planning long trips — Charyn Canyon, Kolsai, a run into Kyrgyzstan — budget for the excess mileage or discuss an individual rate with us. We record the mileage at handover and at return, comparing the odometer readings. For a long-term rental with daily city driving the 200 km limit covers the standard routes: home — work — meetings — evening errands.
Sergek fines and 24/7 support
Fines from Sergek and other camera systems are paid by the renter — they come to our address and we forward you a copy of the notice. You can pay through Kaspi or at a bank branch, after which we verify the payment in the database. Rent-Trip support works around the clock: with a puncture, a starting problem or a dispute on the road, you call us and we help. If the car needs towing, we arrange it ourselves. In our experience most support calls are small questions about the multimedia or adjusting the mirrors — but we are always on the line.
How to choose a car for your needs
Here is how to choose a car for a specific job: city, family, business, mountain trips. We show which classes and models suit each scenario.
For the city and daily trips
For daily driving around Almaty the economy and comfort classes are ideal — the Skoda Rapid and Nissan Sentra with automatic gearboxes. These models use 6-8 litres per 100 km, which saves a noticeable sum on daily routes. Their compact size helps with parking in the city centre, where it has always been difficult. If you drive alone or with one passenger and do not carry bulky loads, these cars are enough. In our experience, clients who take a rent-to-own car for taxi work or courier deliveries most often choose exactly this class.
For the family and mountain trips
For a family with children we suggest crossovers — the Geely Coolray or Volkswagen Tiguan — or the Nissan Elgrand and Toyota Alphard minivans. The Tiguan has a roomy cabin and a 615-litre boot, while the Alphard carries up to 7 passengers in business-class comfort. For trips to Medeu, Shymbulak or Big Almaty Lake, ground clearance and all-wheel drive matter — crossovers handle the switchbacks more confidently than sedans. In winter, with snow in the mountains, all-wheel drive stops being a luxury and becomes a necessity. Minivans also suit meeting guests at the airport — an Alphard takes all the suitcases and passengers without a squeeze.
For business and representative occasions
For business meetings and meeting partners at the airport the Volkswagen Arteon, Lexus ES and Mercedes-Benz S-Class all fit. These cars convey the right standing, and the interiors are finished in quality materials — leather, wood, aluminium. The Lexus ES means reliability and comfort for daily city driving, while the S-Class W223 is the flagship sedan with the highest level of sound insulation and adaptive suspension. If you need a car for accompanying delegations or for formal occasions, the premium class pays for itself from the first days. In our experience business owners often take such cars on rent-to-own so as not to tie up working capital in a purchase.
Paperwork, car inspection and deposit refund
Here is the rental process: documents, the inspection before handover, the deposit refund terms. We show how the deal goes and what is needed to complete it.
Documents required for the paperwork
For rent-to-own you need an ID and a category B driving licence with at least 2 years of experience. Foreign nationals need a passport with a valid visa or a residence permit. For companies we draw up the contract in the company's name, with its details and a power of attorney for the driver. We check all the documents in 15-20 minutes and then sign the rental contract. The contract records the term, the price, the payment schedule and the buyout terms — with no hidden clauses or extra charges.
Car inspection before handover
Before handover we inspect the car together with you: we record the condition of the body, interior, wheels and glass and check the odometer. Every scratch and chip goes into the acceptance report with photographs — that protects both sides at return. We also check the oil, the fluids and the tyre pressures so that you receive a car fully ready for the road. Inside you will find a charged battery and a full tank, or the fuel level noted in the report. If you notice something after driving off, tell us within 24 hours — we will add it to the report.
Returning the car and refunding the deposit
At return we inspect the car the same way as at handover: body, interior, wheels, odometer. The deposit comes back within 1–3 business days after the car is handed over without damage or fines — the money arrives on a Kaspi or Halyk card. If damage is found, we record it in the report with photographs and cost the repair against the price list you sign at handover. Sergek fines that arrive after the return are forwarded to you — once they are paid the deposit is returned in full. In our experience most clients get the whole deposit back, because we talk through all the risks and the rules of use in advance.
Conclusion
Rent-to-own is the opportunity to get a car as your own property without a bank loan or down payment. You pay daily, use the car from day one, and when the contract ends it becomes yours. The selection includes 60 cars — from the economy Skoda Rapid at 18 990 ₸/day to the premium Mercedes-Benz S-Class at 100 000 ₸/day. The deposit from 50 000 to 200 000 ₸ is returned within 1–3 business days, and the rate includes insurance and mileage up to 200 km per day. If you need a car with automatic transmission and clear terms — choose the class that suits your needs, and we'll draw up the contract on the day you apply.
