The Renault Master 2020 and Mercedes-Benz Vito 2021 vans take up to 1.5 tonnes and are suitable for moving furniture, equipment and goods for marketplaces. The Hyundai Porter 2019 and Kia Bongo 2019 trucks are for construction materials, metal and pallets weighing up to 1 tonne with an open side. The Toyota HiAce 2019, Volkswagen Transporter 2020 and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2017 minibuses cover transfers and corporate outings, while the Toyota Coaster 2016 and Yutong Tourist Bus 2019 buses are for excursions and weddings. If the cargo is bulky but light, take a van: the Renault Master 2020 and Mercedes-Benz Vito 2021 have a flat floor and a high door, so furniture goes in without disassembly.

Transfer from Almaty airport and meeting a group

For transfers from Almaty airport we most often send the Toyota HiAce 2019 or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2017 minibuses — they take a group with luggage in one trip. The HiAce 2019 from 56,990 ₸/day is convenient for 8-10 people, the Sprinter 2017 from 84,990 ₸/day — for 12-15 with a spacious luggage compartment for skis and suitcases. Delivery to the terminal is arranged in advance, and the driver waits at the exit with a sign if you need a transfer with a driver. Count not by the number of people but by the number of suitcases: 8 passengers with large luggage ride comfortably in the Sprinter, while in a passenger car you'd have to make two trips.

Motorhome and bus for tours to Kolsai, Charyn and Medeu

For multi-day tours we have the Fiat Ducato Motorhome 2020 from 109,990 ₸/day and the Yutong Tourist Bus 2019 from 134,990 ₸/day — for different group formats. The motorhome is designed for a family or a couple, with sleeping places, a kitchen and an autonomous water supply for two days. The Yutong takes up to 45 passengers and comes with a driver, which is convenient for organised groups to the Charyn Canyon or Lake Kolsai. On the winding roads to Medeu and on the mountain pass, the motorhome wins because it isn't tied to a hotel: you can spend the night by Kolsai without looking for accommodation.

For one-off trips within the city, take a van rather than a truck: the Kangoo has a lower step-in height and is easier to park in courtyards where a Porter can't turn around.

Documents, deposit and rental eligibility

Commercial transport requires a different licence category than a passenger car, and the deposit here is higher. Let's go over what to prepare before booking.

What documents and licence you need

• Category C: truck GAZ Valdai Truck 2017.
• Category D: minibuses with more than 8 passenger seats and buses — GAZ Gazelle Next 2021, Toyota HiAce 2019, Ford Transit 2019, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2017, Toyota Coaster 2016, Yutong Tourist Bus 2019.
• ID and licence: originals, driving experience of at least 2 years, age from 21.
• Rental agreement: we prepare it for every transaction, the client keeps a copy.

Check the category in advance and confirm it for a specific vehicle on WhatsApp: if your licence only has B, we won't process a large minibus, but we will process a van or a Volkswagen Transporter 2020.

Deposit for the commercial class and when it is returned

Our deposit for commercial transport is 100,000 ₸, a single amount for the whole class. For comparison: economy and comfort — 50,000 ₸, business and SUVs — 100,000 ₸, premium — 150,000 ₸, unique models — 200,000 ₸. It is returned within 1–3 business days after the car is handed back without damage or fines, by transfer to a Kaspi or Halyk card. The inspection on return takes 10-15 minutes: we record the mileage, fuel level and body condition according to the acceptance checklist. The deposit is not deducted for normal wear-and-tear scratches — only for damage beyond the norm and unpaid fines from «Sergek» cameras.

Some cars are rented with no deposit: Hyundai Accent 2021, Hyundai Accent 2023, Volkswagen Polo 2020, Hyundai Elantra 2022, Hyundai Sonata 2021, Toyota Camry 70, Hyundai Bayon 2023 and Changan X5 Plus 2025.

What to do if your licence doesn't match the class

• Changing the vehicle: if your licence only has B and you need to carry a group, we'll offer a Volkswagen Transporter 2020 or Renault Trafic 2020 — they are within category B.
• Rental with a driver: for minibuses and buses you can take a vehicle with a driver — the client's category then doesn't matter.
• Corporate contract: For companies, we register it to a legal entity with an attached list of authorized drivers.
• Category D training: if the trips are regular, it's worth getting the category in advance — it will widen your choice to buses.

In our practice, there was a case when a client booked a Sprinter for a wedding with category B on their license — we rebooked it to a HiAce with a driver an hour before pickup.

What's included in the rate and how mileage is calculated

A rate is not just the price per day. Let's break down what's already included and where extra charges begin.

Mileage up to 200 km per day and what happens beyond the limit

The rate includes mileage up to 200 km per day; beyond the limit there is an extra charge per kilometer, the amount is specified in the contract. 200 km covers a city route around Almaty with room to spare: airport — center — BAO — back is about 60 km. For trips to Charyn (about 200 km one way) or Kolsai, the limit is counted per day, and on multi-day tours the total mileage is distributed. If you're planning a long-distance trip, mention it when booking — we'll calculate the mileage and fix the terms in the contract. For a week or more, the price is lower; we quote the exact amount on WhatsApp.

What's included in the daily rate

• Insurance: OSAGO and technical insurance are included in the rate for every car.
• Maintenance: scheduled maintenance and current repairs are at our expense; the client doesn't pay for wear.
• Delivery within Almaty: delivery of the car to an address or to the airport is from 5,000 ₸.
• 24/7 Support: a round-the-clock line for questions on the road and assistance along the route.
• Wash before delivery: the car is handed over clean, with a full tank as agreed.

Fuel, washing and return

• Fuel: we hand it over with the same level as at pickup — the client returns it with a similar one.
• Car wash: before handover we wash it at our own expense; on return, heavy soiling after a tour is per the contract.
• Return: we accept it by checklist, record the mileage and condition, and close the contract on the spot.
• Early return: if the car is returned earlier than the term, we'll recalculate based on the actual days.

Delivery, vehicle condition and inspection before handover

Commercial vehicles work under load, so the car is inspected before every handover. We'll show you how it works.

How the pre-handover inspection works

• Body and interior: inspection for scratches, dents, and the condition of the cargo compartment and mounts.
• Technical part: oil level, brake fluid, tire condition and pressure, and lights.
• Documents: technical passport, insurance, contract — all in the glove compartment by the time of delivery.
• Test drive: a short loop around the yard so the client can assess the handling and gearbox.

Before acceptance, photograph the body from all sides with your phone — this records the condition at the time of handover and eliminates questions upon return.

Delivery across Almaty and to the airport

We deliver the car across Almaty within 30–60 minutes after booking confirmation, and to the airport — by the arrival time; delivery within the city is from 5,000 ₸. For minibuses and buses, delivery is arranged separately — the driver needs space to maneuver. In winter, allow extra time: snow and ice on the pass to Medeu slow traffic, and delivery may be delayed by 20-30 minutes.

Fleet condition and vehicle age

• Age: vehicles from 2016 to 2021, each undergoes maintenance according to the manufacturer's schedule.
• Mileage: commercial transport is renewed more often than passenger cars — the load is higher, the service life is shorter.
• Repairs: we fix current breakdowns at our own service center, and the vehicle goes on the line only after inspection.
• Replacement: if the car is under repair on the day of booking, we will offer an equivalent of the same class at no extra charge.

Rental agreement: what is recorded

• Responsibility: fines, damage, procedure for returning the deposit.
• Operating conditions: prohibition on transferring to third parties and using as a taxi.

Insurance and what is covered

• OSAGO: mandatory for every car, covers damage to third parties.
• Technical insurance: included in the rate, covers damage to the car in an accident.
• Deductible: for damage caused by the client, part of the repair is withheld from the deposit.
• Case outside the contract: if the car was used contrary to the terms, insurance may not cover the damage.
