Our Cybertruck 2024 is rented by the hour only — 1 hour 80,000 ₸, 3 hours 200,000 ₸, 5 hours 300,000 ₸, 10 hours 600,000 ₸, there is no daily rate. This is the only pickup of the brand in our fleet and the only car in the 'Unique' class with this body style: an angular stainless-steel body, a lifting cargo bed cover, all-wheel drive, and acceleration that feels completely different at a traffic light in central Almaty than in a sedan. Its dimensions are almost 5.7 meters long, so in shopping mall parking lots and narrow courtyards of the Zolotoy Kvadrat area it's worth choosing a spot for the car in advance. The hourly model is advantageous for photo shoots, filming, and short spectacular outings — taking the pickup out of town for a full day is not rational, but for 3–5 hours in the center it delivers maximum impression per trip.

Tesla Model S 2022 — the longest range in the fleet

On the highway, range matters most: when driving toward Charyn Canyon or Kolsai Lake, the range drops more slowly than in the older version, and regenerative braking on descents returns more energy. The interior has a panoramic roof and a minimalist front panel, with almost all controls moved to the central screen. If you're planning Charyn or Kolsai, take the 2022 model — the newer battery holds range more steadily on winding roads and mountain passes, where consumption is higher than in the city.

In terms of body and seating, it's the same full-size sedan as the 2022 version, but the battery is older, so on the highway the range is less and charging takes more time. For the city, the car's capabilities are more than enough: the dynamics, cabin quietness, and instant pedal response are still there, and in terms of consumption over short distances the difference from the newer version is almost unnoticeable. For the city and trips to Medeu or Shymbulak, this version is sufficient: the difference from the 2022 model is felt mainly on long distances, not in daily use.

Why the price is lower for a week or more

For rentals of a week or more, we offer a reduced rate — we quote the exact amount on WhatsApp when confirming dates. The logic is simple: a longer booking saves us the costs of frequent washing, repositioning, and re-preparing the car between clients, so part of that saving goes back into the rate. For Tesla this is especially noticeable, because preparing an electric car includes checking the charge, battery diagnostics, and setting up the driver profile. If the trip lasts 7+ days, it's better to tell us the full period right away: we'll select a model and format where the daily cost is lower than standard.

Real-world range of the Model S and Cybertruck

The 2022 Model S holds its range more consistently than anything else in the fleet, the 2016 Model S a little less, and the Cybertruck uses more due to its weight and pickup aerodynamics. In the city the difference between the three cars is barely noticeable: on a route from BAO to Medeu or along Al-Farabi Avenue, consumption is predictable, and regenerative braking on descents returns some energy back to the battery. The highway and climbs are a completely different story: the pickup, with its almost 5.7-meter body and heavy frame, uses noticeably more than the sedans, and on a long climb to the pass consumption rises for all three. On the winding roads toward Medeu and on the pass, consumption rises more noticeably than in the city: allow a 20–30% margin and don't plan a long trip 'on the last percent'.

Charging from a regular outlet — when it's an option

A Tesla charges slowly from a regular outlet — it's an emergency overnight option, not a way to quickly top up on the road. In 8–10 hours on a household circuit the car gains only part of the battery, and that may not be enough for a morning departure to the mountains. We advise treating an outlet only as a backup if you're staying at a guesthouse near Almaty and the nearest station is far away. For long routes, plan stops at city stations in advance: that way your range will always be predictable and the trip will be without surprises.

Operating a Tesla in Almaty: winter, mountains and trips out of town

An electric car in Almaty behaves differently from a gasoline car — and this applies not only to charging, but also to how it handles on the road in different seasons.

In winter we advise not leaving the car outside all night without a charge: in the morning the battery will be cold, and the first kilometers will go toward warming it up.

Mountain routes: Medeu, Shymbulak, BAO

Driving to the mountains in a Tesla is comfortable: the car takes the climb confidently, and on the descent regenerative braking returns energy to the battery. On the winding roads to Medeu and Shymbulak, keep at least 40% range before the climb — on steep sections consumption is higher than on the plains. If you're going to BAO, keep in mind that at altitude the temperature is lower and the road surface is uneven in places. Before a mountain route we advise charging the car to 90% and not relying on charging along the way: there are few stations in the mountains, and queues are possible on weekends.

Long trips: Charyn, Kolsai and Kyrgyzstan

For long routes the 2022 Model S is the better fit — its battery holds range more consistently over long distances. To Charyn Canyon and Kolsai Lake the drive takes several hours each way, so plan charging in advance: there are intermediate points along the way, but few of them. If you're traveling to Kyrgyzstan, check with us about the car's documents and the route — crossing the border requires coordination. For a long trip we advise taking the model with the maximum range: on the highway the difference between the 2016 and 2022 versions is more noticeable than in the city.

The rate includes mileage up to 200 km per day — that's enough for the city, Medeu and short trips. If you're planning Charyn, Kolsai or a full-day trip out of town, let us know in advance: over the limit there's an extra charge per kilometer, the amount of which is specified in the contract. We honestly tell clients when a route goes beyond the standard limit — so you know in advance what the trip will cost.
