The rate includes up to 200 km of mileage per day, insurance, the contract and 24/7 support — the surcharge per kilometre over the limit is agreed separately in the contract.

How to save on a long-term rental

For a week or more the Camry rental price is lower — we quote the exact amount on WhatsApp when you book. The logic is simple: the longer the car stays with the client, the less time it spends idle between handovers, and that is reflected in the rate. For those who plan their trip in advance, this is a noticeable saving.

If a trip is planned for 5–6 days, it is sometimes more worthwhile to take a week right away: the daily rate drops, and the car stays with you with no extra charges for idle time. In our experience, clients who take a Camry for 8–10 days for trips around Almaty and to the mountains pay noticeably less than with three separate bookings.

The Camry 75 is fresher and quieter than the 70: it has updated sound insulation and equipment, while the engine is the same 2.5 L. The difference in power is minimal — 200 versus 203 hp — but the 75 feels like a more modern car: a different multimedia unit, more USB ports, better trim materials. For business trips where the passenger's impression matters, the 75 wins.

If the route is the city and short outings, the difference is barely noticeable; on a long highway the 75 is noticeably more comfortable for rear passengers. In our fleet both versions are available at the same time, and we often advise taking the 75 if the budget allows: the 15,000 ₸/day surcharge pays off in comfort on routes like Almaty — Kolsai.

Fuel consumption of the 2.5 L in the heat and on mountain serpentines

In the city with the air conditioning on, the Camry 2.5 L consumes noticeably more than on the highway — heat and mountain climbs add to the usual consumption. In summer at +35 °C with the climate control constantly running in the city cycle, it is easy to see 12–13 L per 100 km, whereas on a flat highway at 90–100 km/h consumption drops to around 8 L. On the serpentines to Medeu and Shymbulak, keep the gear lower and don't race uphill — both consumption and the brakes will thank you. Constant engine braking on the descent reduces the load on the pads, and on the climb it saves fuel. Fill up with 95: on 92 the 2.5 L engine loses pulling power and consumption grows.

Delivery to the airport is more convenient if you book in advance: during rush hour on Al-Farabi Avenue, the car takes longer to get there than it seems. Usually the trip from the center to the airport takes 25–40 minutes, but in the morning hours from 8:00 to 10:00 it's better to allow an extra hour.

For weddings, photo shoots and special occasions

For weddings and photo shoots, people more often choose the Camry 80 or 75 — the fresh body and interior look better in photos. A white or black sedan in these generations looks equally good in frame, while the chrome and optics of the latest versions add a "premium" feel without unnecessary pomp. For a wedding cortege, the Camry is often taken paired with a more prestigious model — that's more convenient than three identical sedans.

For a photo shoot, it's worth discussing the route in advance: mountain locations and the center have different light, and the car is delivered to a specific spot. Morning hours in Medeu give soft light and fewer cars in frame, while in the evening on BAO you get striking shots with the city in the background.

With a driver and a child seat

You can take a Camry with a driver, and we provide a child seat on request — that's convenient for family trips. The driver has experience driving in Almaty and on mountain routes, and speaks Kazakh and Russian. We select the child seat according to the child's age and weight: from an infant carrier to a booster for a schoolchild.

It's better to book the seat together with the car: a specific model is selected for the particular generation and the child's age. If you're going to the mountains with a child, be sure to let us know in advance — on the serpentine it's important that the seat is installed correctly and securely fastened.

Deposit, documents and the rental agreement

The deposit for a Camry depends on the class — for a "Comfort" class sedan it's 50,000 ₸. The documents are standard, the contract is signed at handover, and the deposit is returned within 1–3 business days after return.

• Driver's license: category B, driving experience of at least 2 years.

What's in the contract and how handover works

The contract records the rental period, daily rate, mileage limit, deposit amount and the liability of the parties. At handover, we inspect the car together: photos of the body, interior, odometer readings and fuel level. You receive the keys, the car documents and the 24/7 support contact.

The handover process takes 15–20 minutes if the documents are ready in advance. In our experience, most clients come to the Rent-Trip office on Abai, but delivery of the car to an address is also possible — then the inspection takes place on site, and the contract is signed when meeting the company representative.

A mileage allowance of 200 km per day is enough for most city tasks: business trips, meetings, transfers. For long routes — Kolsai, Charyn, trips to Kyrgyzstan — the limit should be considered in advance so as not to pay for excess mileage. Usually we discuss the route at booking and advise whether it fits within the standard limit.

Delivery, timelines and support

Car delivery within Almaty takes from 40 minutes to 2 hours depending on the address and traffic. To the airport we deliver the car by the flight's arrival — the driver waits in the meeting area or at the terminal exit. To book, just write on WhatsApp: model, dates, delivery address and required options.

Support works around the clock: if a problem arises on the road — a puncture, battery, accident — call, and we will resolve it. In case of a technical fault through our fault, we replace the car with a similar one at no extra charge. In our practice such cases are rare, but the client should always know that they are not left alone on the highway.

Where to go in a Camry: mountains, highway, Kyrgyzstan

The Camry 2.5 L with automatic confidently handles the highway and mountain serpentines — from Medeu and Shymbulak to Charyn and Lake Kolsai. Let's go over the routes our clients most often take.

City and mountain routes

• Medeu and Shymbulak: serpentine with good pavement, the Camry confidently goes uphill when driving calmly.
• BAO (Big Almaty Lake): a steep climb, better to go in the first half of the day when there are fewer oncoming cars.
• Charyn Canyon: 200 km one way along the highway, fits into a two-day rental with an overnight stay.
• Kolsai Lake: 280 km via Shelek, a comfortable route for a Camry 70 or 75.
• Travel to Kyrgyzstan: via Kordai or Kegen, insurance for the trip will be required — we arrange it separately.

For mountain routes I recommend the Camry 70 and above: they have slightly more power and better sound insulation, which is noticeable on long climbs. On the serpentine it is important to drive in D mode with engine braking on descents, rather than keeping your foot on the brake constantly.

Highway and long trips

On the highway the Camry 2.5 L is a comfortable option for 4–5 people with luggage. Consumption on a flat road at 90–100 km/h stays around 8 L per 100 km, and the fuel supply in the tank (about 60 L) gives a range of around 700 km. For the route Almaty — Kolsai — Almaty one fill-up is more than enough.

For long trips it is better to take a Camry 75 or 80: fresh suspension and lower mileage mean less risk of encountering wear on the highway. Before leaving the city, check the tire pressure and washer fluid level — on the highway in the heat this is critical.
